Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do Not Collect

BrieFolio does not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

• The contents of any document you open, scan, or paste into the app
• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your Apple ID or account credentials
• Your location
• Your device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or IP address
• Analytics, usage statistics, or behavioral data
• Crash reports sent to any 3Nsofts server

There is no BrieFolio backend server. There is no database of user records. There is no analytics platform. 3Nsofts has no way to see what documents you process, what templates you use, or how often you open the app.

2. How Document Processing Works

BrieFolio uses Apple's Foundation Models framework to process your documents. This is an on-device large language model built into iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 as part of Apple Intelligence.

When you add a document to BrieFolio:

• The document is copied into a BrieFolio folder on your device
• Text is extracted locally using Apple frameworks (PDFKit, Vision, NSAttributedString)
• The extracted text is passed to the on-device Foundation Models for classification and insight generation
• Structured insights are saved locally using SwiftData on your device

At no point during this process is your document or its contents sent to any server operated by 3Nsofts, Apple (for Foundation Models), or any third party.

3. Local Storage

Documents you add to BrieFolio are stored in a BrieFolio folder within the app's Documents directory. This folder is:

• Visible in Files.app under “On My iPhone / iPad / Mac → BrieFolio”
• Included in your iCloud Backup if iCloud Backup is enabled on your device
• Not accessible to other apps without your explicit action
• Deleted when you delete the BrieFolio app

Structured insights, annotations, collections, and classification data are stored in the app's local SwiftData database on your device.

4. iCloud Sync

BrieFolio offers optional iCloud sync. If you enable iCloud sync in Settings:

• Your document library and structured insights sync across your devices via Apple's CloudKit
• This sync is encrypted end-to-end by Apple
• 3Nsofts does not have access to your iCloud data
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time in Settings

iCloud sync requires a valid Apple ID and iCloud account managed by Apple. For information about Apple's iCloud privacy practices, see apple.com/icloud.

5. Calendar Integration

If you use BrieFolio's Dates feature to add deadlines to your Calendar:

• BrieFolio requests iOS/macOS Calendar access
• Calendar events are created locally on your device via the EventKit framework
• BrieFolio does not read existing Calendar events — it only creates new ones
• Calendar data is managed by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy
• Access can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy → Calendars

6. Siri and App Intents

BrieFolio provides Siri integration via Apple's App Intents framework. When you use Siri to interact with BrieFolio:

• Siri phrases are processed by Apple's Siri infrastructure
• BrieFolio responds by reading document data stored locally on your device
• No document content is transmitted to 3Nsofts as a result of Siri interactions

7. Camera Access

If you use the Scan Documents feature:

• BrieFolio requests camera access
• Camera images are processed locally using Apple's VisionKit and Vision frameworks for OCR (optical character recognition)
• Scanned images are converted to PDFs stored locally on your device
• Camera images are never transmitted to 3Nsofts or any third party

Access can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy → Camera.

8. App Store and Apple

BrieFolio is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple collects information related to app downloads, purchases, and certain usage metrics as described in Apple's privacy policy. This data is collected by Apple, not by 3Nsofts.

If you purchase BrieFolio Premium (the $9.99 one-time unlock), payment is processed by Apple. 3Nsofts does not receive or store your payment information.

9. No Third-Party SDKs

BrieFolio does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting SDKs. The app uses only Apple-provided frameworks:

• Foundation Models (AI processing)
• SwiftData (local storage)
• CloudKit (optional iCloud sync)
• PDFKit (PDF rendering and extraction)
• VisionKit (document scanning)
• Vision (OCR)
• EventKit (Calendar integration)
• CoreSpotlight (Spotlight search indexing)
• App Intents (Siri and Shortcuts)
• StoreKit 2 (in-app purchase)

10. Children's Privacy

BrieFolio is rated 4+ on the App Store. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union. Because BrieFolio collects no personal data from any user, no special handling for children's data is applicable.

11. Changes to This Policy

If 3Nsofts makes material changes to this Privacy Policy, the updated policy will be published at https://www.3nsofts.com/briefolio/privacy and the effective date will be updated. Continued use of BrieFolio after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws applicable to 3Nsofts and its operations. Users in the European Union have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because BrieFolio collects no personal data, no data processing lawful basis, data subject access requests, or deletion requests are applicable under GDPR. Users in California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because BrieFolio does not sell personal information and collects no personal data, CCPA obligations do not apply.
