Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Sorto iOS application (the "App") operated by 3nSofts ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Sorto App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and 3nSofts. Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of Service

Sorto is an intelligent email organization application for iOS devices that:

  • Connects to your email accounts (Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, iCloud Mail, IMAP)
  • Analyzes and classifies email messages based on business priority
  • Organizes your inbox using multi-layer intelligence
  • Provides insights into communication patterns and sender behavior

Key Feature: On-Device Processing

All email analysis and classification occurs locally on your iOS device. Sorto does not upload, store, or process your email content on external servers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

  • You meet the age requirements above
  • You have the authority to accept these Terms
  • Your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Account Connection and Authentication

4.1 Email Account Authorization

To use Sorto, you must connect at least one email account by:

  • Authorizing OAuth 2.0 access (Gmail, Outlook)
  • Providing IMAP credentials (iCloud, generic IMAP)

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have authorization to access the email accounts you connect
  • You will not connect accounts belonging to others without permission
  • Your credentials are accurate and current

4.2 Credential Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your email account credentials
  • Any activity that occurs through your connected accounts
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We store credentials securely in your device's iOS Keychain but cannot be held responsible for unauthorized access resulting from device compromise, operating system vulnerabilities, or your disclosure of credentials.

4.3 Revoking Access

You may revoke Sorto's access to your email accounts at any time by:

  • Removing the account from the App's settings
  • Revoking access through your email provider's account management interface
  • Uninstalling the App

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the App for:

  • Personal email management
  • Business and professional email organization
  • Analyzing and classifying your own email messages
  • Managing multiple email accounts you own or are authorized to access

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may NOT use the App to:

  • Access email accounts without proper authorization
  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
  • Circumvent security features or authentication mechanisms
  • Use the App in any way that could harm, disable, or impair our services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data

5.3 Email Provider Compliance

You agree to comply with the terms of service and acceptable use policies of your email providers (Google, Microsoft, Apple, or your IMAP server provider).

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Rights

The App, including its code, design, graphics, interface, algorithms, and related materials, is owned by 3nSofts and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.

6.2 Your Content

Your email messages and related data remain your property. By using the App:

  • You retain all rights to your email content
  • You grant us no rights to your email content (because we don't access it on our servers)
  • All processing of your email occurs on your device under your control

6.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that Feedback into our products without compensation or attribution.

7. Beta Testing and Early Access

7.1 Beta Program

Sorto is currently in beta testing. Beta versions may:

  • Contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features
  • Be updated or changed without notice
  • Experience performance or stability issues
  • Have features removed or modified

7.2 Beta Disclaimer

Beta software is provided "AS IS" for testing purposes. While we strive for quality, we make no warranties regarding beta versions' functionality, reliability, or suitability for any purpose.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Important Legal Notice

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 USD for any claims arising from these Terms or the App.

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
  • Accuracy of email classification or intelligence features
  • Availability of third-party email services (Gmail, Outlook, iCloud)

8.2 Classification Accuracy

Email classification is provided "as is." We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in message categorization or detection of important messages. Use your judgment when relying on classifications for business decisions.

9. Modifications to the Service and Terms

9.1 Service Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time
  • Add or remove features
  • Update classification algorithms and intelligence models
  • Change supported email providers

9.2 Terms Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time by removing connected email accounts or uninstalling the App from your device.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the App ends immediately
  • All locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the App
  • Credentials stored in iOS Keychain remain until you delete the App

11. Third-Party Services

The App connects to third-party email services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:

13. Apple App Store Requirements

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you.

By using Sorto, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You agree to be bound by these Terms
  • You have reviewed our Privacy Policy
  • You meet the eligibility requirements
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and email provider terms
